The philosophy at Grandma's Lavender is to provide skin and health care products that are simple, natural, organic and effective.

Over a decade ago, our founder, Kathie (THE grandma of Grandma’s Lavender) set out to find better baby products for her grand babies. Not being satisfied with what the marketplace had to offer, she created her own. 
She garnered over 30 years of experience as a nurse, knowledge as a student nurse midwife and that of her husband’s expertise in herbs and nutrition. Together they created Grandma’s Lavender. 

Grandma’s intention was not to start a business. It was a singular minded focus for her daughter’s and grand babies health. Friends and friends of friends took notice and so the business was born. 

In 2017, my husband, (Kathie’s son) Caleb and I (her daughter-in-love, Emma) came aboard. I was pregnant with my eldest son, Luca. It was a full circle moment for me when Caleb and I took over the business. I was a customer long before owning and making products. It was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up because I loved the products and what they represented. 

In the summer of 2021, with a grant from Michigan Tribes, Caleb and I were able to buy and transplant Lavender from our original Lavender farm Up North right in our backyard! 

Our products are made with organic herbs and oils; free of artificial and synthetic ingredients. Every one of our products are infused with our Lavender buds we grow locally on our farm. Lavender is not only aromatic but also has many different therapeutic and medicinal properties!
