NATURAL OILS FOR SKINCARE

At Grandma's Lavender, we use several Natural/ Organic oils in our products.  We primarily use Almond oil, Coconut oil, and Olive oil because of their benefits to the skin.  Our skin is the largest organ in our body, so we need to nourish it and protect it from environmental toxins.

Almond oil is rich in Vitamins A, B, and E.  It helps to maintain moisture in the skin without clogging the pores and it removes impurities and dead skin cells, making it the perfect oil to be used in our Face and Body Wash.  It relieves dry skin and soothes skin irritation and inflammation.  Because of these properties, we use it in our Eczema/Rash Cream to help reduce the redness, itching and irritation from eczema and other rashes.  Almond oil is light and absorbs quickly and leaves the skin soft and supple. Because it reduces fine lines on the face by improving blood circulation and tightening the skin, we use it in our Body Butter.  Our Body Butter is wonderful not only for the body, but for facial skin as well..

Coconut oil is another amazing oil.  We use it in all of our creams and butters.  It has an SPF between six and eight, so it helps to protect the skin from harmful sun rays.  Coconut oil also contains Vitamin E which is known for its anti-aging properties. It contains proteins that aid in cellular health and tissue repair.  Coconut oil is also beneficial for skin disorders such as acne, psoriasis and eczema.  It has antimicrobial and also healing effects for the skin.  It even helps to keep a tan longer!

Olive oil is used in our Nipple Cream, Happy Bum Cream and Eczema/Rash Cream.  It is rich in antioxidants, Vitamin E and healthy fats that prevent free radical damage and restore skin's smoothness.  It has a chemical structure that is similar to skin's natural oils. It moisturizes dry skin and helps to stimulate the process of skin healing.

Try one of our skin care products and see for yourself the wonderful benefits that these oils have to offer.
